My recent exhibition "Deux ex machin," was at La Belle Hortense, 31 rue Vieille du Temple, 75004 Paris, from December 1, 2021 to January 4, 2022. The word "machin" in French means "thing" and, combined with the original latin expression, literally translates to "God from thing." This "thing" references all the different elements that combined to form our collective experience of the past two years of the pandemic. All these paintings were completed during the recurrent and successive lockdowns. Some of the pieces were redone after many years others are brand new canvases.
